Our Story

Our love of great food and a healthy lifestyle is responsible for our admiration of olive oil. Olive oil has been more than mere food to the people of the Mediterranean: it has been medicinal, magical, an endless source of fascination and wonder and the fountain of great wealth and power. The Legendary Greek epic poet Homer referred to it as "Liquid Gold", and to us, from the color, smell, and the extraordinary taste, it is as such.

Taste The Olive is the creation of Kymberlei and Scott DiNapoli.

Kymberlei grew up in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and her love for cooking started at a very young age in her great aunt's kitchen.
Her aunt would place her on a chair by the stove to assist her in meal preparation. This taught her the art of resourceful cooking, home grown produce, and a clear sense of where dinner came from.
"We as a society need to get back to the basics of knowing where our food comes from, starting in our own kitchen".

Scott is the Italian half of this duo and a private pilot that travels the world. He spends most of his travel in Europe, particularly the Mediterranean countries. His experiences and tales about food during his travels encourages his wife to constantly expand their in-home culinary experiences.

Kymberlei loves to travel and feels that you can travel with your daily meals; each night could be a new destination. Go to Italy, France, Greece, or wherever you like with the meal you choose to prepare.
